Congratulations to TRUST WOMEN!  Some leaders
and workers with that foundation were featured on a
recent MSNBC show and they were remarkable.  Their
commitment and desire for justice were inspiring as plans
are being put in place for a first-class women’s health
clinic back here in Wichita. As we celebrate the birthday
of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the inauguration
celebration for President Obama’s second term,  it is only
right and just that we also remember the coming 40th
anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, the Supreme Court decision
giving women the right, ironically, to make their own health
care decisions within a democratic society and without
fear or threat from groups and individuals that may disagree
with the law. As Dr. King said: “The arc of history is long,
but it bends toward justice.”
